How is my baby boy three months old already?!?  I just don’t know how time goes so fast.  I think I’m feeling sentimental and I felt like sharing a few photos from before and just after he was born.  I love my sweet family!

I’m so thankful for these few maternity photos I have.  I know, I know, I should have had a whole maternity session, but David snapped these of me one day and I love them.  You forget so fast what it was like to be pregnant.  I do anyway.  It was only three months ago, but it’s like I’ve already forgotten what this feels like.  (Such a good reason for maternity photos.)

I had a c-section scheduled for November 9th.  I doubted I’d make it until then basically because Emma had been born at 38 weeks.  On November 6th I woke up with pretty strong contractions and told David I thought I *might* need to go to the hospital….  Thankfully my mom was already at our house  and could stay with Emma.  When I arrived I was dilated to a 6.  Nurses started getting busy when they realized this and sweet baby Alex was in our arms about an hour later.  Here are some photos that show some of Alex’s first moments, Emma meeting her little brother, and some snuggle time with mom and dad.  Stay tuned for a blog post showing his first few months.
